Baby Sea Turtles
I have been told that October is the month when the sea turtle eggs begin to hatch in Baja California and the baby sea turtles make their way from their nest to the ocean. I’ve been taking late night walks on the beach in hopes of seeing some of the baby turtles, but haven’t had [...]

Working in the Morning
I found a new cafe that serves breakfast and lunch called Caleb’s Cafe here in Los Barriles that has Internet access. It has an outside area upstairs and, of course, a beautiful view. This is what I’m looking at as I work (and type this post out):
Hard to complain when mornings begin like this…

Rainbows
It was a beautiful day in a non typical way. With Tropical Storm Patricia trying to decide where she wanted to go, we had rain and sunshine and rain and sunshine all day which meant that we had rainbows left and right today:

Tropical Storm in La Paz
We’ve had a tropical storm threatening to hit this area for the past few days. One day it is supposed to hit us directly and the next it isn’t supposed to come anywhere close (thus the true unpredictability of ocean storms)
At this time it looks like it’s going to miss us, but that hasn’t meant [...]

Office View in the Morning
I’m back from Cabo San Lucas and will be spending the rest of the month is Los Barriles. Didn’t do too much work while in Cabo, so I decided to get up early to catch up. This is what greeted me for my office view this morning:

Digital Nomad Troubles
I take for granted having a reliable Internet connection and power supply but I’m quickly learning that even though I’m staying in a place that purports to have both, that is not necessarily the case.
The wifi I have at the studio apartment has been like rolling dice thus far. Sometimes it works great while [...]

My New Swimming Partner
I have a new swimming partner! Her name is Daisy and I’m taking care of her while staying in Mexico (long story about how this came about). She loves the water almost as much as I do…

Mexican Cell Phone Towers
In the middle of Los Barriles where I’m staying there are two huge palm trees. I never really paid them much attention except that I did note they were really tall compared to the other palm trees in the area. Then on my walk home yesterday I noticed that they are used as cell phone [...]

Colorful Mexican Beach Homes
One of the joys of visiting a new place is walking around and exploring. There is always something interesting or surprising that you come across that you just don’t see back home.
I love the colorful Mexican beach homes that seem to fit right in which is amazing since if you ever tried to paint your [...]
